And, you can’t apply any type of smart filters like those in Lightroom. There’s an oddity, however: You can’t use those features on multiple files at once. I didn’t have any issues with those issues, but it would still be nice if they could have been addressed.

There are plenty of change to be made for the tablet. While the iPad version will be great, its lack of a light box could be a nuisance. Photoshop Elements is a good option for photographers looking for an easy-to-use program that isn’t expensive, but it isn’t exactly the equivalent of Photoshop. Elements does have some interesting new features including Photoshop-like brush sizes, shape options and using a chalkboard canvas. I think that the lack of a light box in the iPad version of Photoshop may actually draw more photographers to it than it’s predecessors did. Perhaps at the price point that the iPad will be retailing for, they’ll be more willing to use it than they might have in the past.

When choosing the version of Adobe Photoshop to purchase, you will need to decide if you’re okay with the photo editing control in Adobe Photoshop or if you want more control over your editing options. If you want quality photo editing software and can pay the additional funds for Photoshop CC, you’ll get more features and higher editing quality in Photoshop CC. With the standard version of Photoshop CC, the editing features are limited because they are only available on Photoshop Elements to start. For example, you won’t see the “contrast” feature in the standard version of Photoshop CC. On top of the standard version, there is the “Elements” premium version which offers the most features, but you’ll have to pay for it.

If you just want the inexpensive photo editing software, the standard version of Photoshop CC is perfect for you.
If you want to get the most out of your editing software and don’t mind paying for a higher price for additional features, then maybe the Elements premium or the full Creative Cloud option (with payment and membership) might be more suitable for you.
